Margabandeeshwarar Temple

This temple is located in Virinchipuram Village, about 14 km from Vellore. The tower of the temple is about 110 feet. The Simmatheertham (Tank or Well) situated in this temple is completely different. Only women are allowed to swim in Simmakulam  (Tank or Well ) on the last Sunday of the month of Karthikai. It is an unshakable belief of the people that women who bathe in the Simmakulam to get rid of the fire that has caught them and want to have children, lie down in the hall of the temple with a wet cloth and get the blessing of conceiving soon after seeing the auspiciousness. The temple has a sundial clock that shows the time.
