Morthana Dam

The dam is about 55 km from Vellore city and about 20 km from Gudiyatham city near the Karnataka and Andhra state border. The dam is about 30 feet deep and has an area of ​​100 hectares. Rainwater from the forests of Karnataka and Andhra state comes to this dam through the Koundiya River during the monsoons. The dam is under the control of Public Works (Water Resources) Department.
